Shildon
Shildon is a town in the county of Durham, England. The town was put on the map after the growth of the railways and the Stockton and Darlington Railway placed there workshops there in 1825 and became known as the ‘cradle of the railways’. The National Railway Museum & Shildon Locomotive Museum documents the relationship between the town and the birth of the railway industry. Also in Shildon is the Shildon Sunnydale Leisure Centre and Hackworth Park. Shildon is Eco Cycle Adventures Friendly.
